Kurdish Studies

Zahra Institute is dedicated to broadening the knowledge and study of Kurdish language and culture. Kurdish is a major language in the Middle East and beyond and has been designated a 'critical language' by the National Security Education Program (NSEP). Kurdish studies is increasingly being recognized as a field of academic research. Recognizing the growing need for Kurdish-language resources, Zahra Institute plans to offer both online and on-campus courses and intensive summer programs at various levels.
